Today, DJ Tunez has publicly hinted at retaliation following the April 6 physical confrontation — a fight he says started when Burna Boy struck him from behind without warning. Burna Boy has since confirmed he was responsible, telling Shallipopi on livestream: “No be 10 people touch that guy, na only me. Two slaps na im I give am.” He also took a clear jab at Wizkid, who had posted a mocking tweet in support of Tunez: “Wizkid come go dey tweet. Na internet their own power dey.” The Nigerian DJ Association (NDJ) has maintained a nationwide ban on Burna Boy’s music — including in the diaspora. A separate DJs association has debunked the ban.
